Les Dames Blanches

Camille Gheskière, Belgium, 2024, 62’

  • Simeon, a young Dominican man, begins an internship as a caregiver at a retirement home in Ghent, Belgium. His approach to elderly care sets him apart from his colleagues, who don't quite see things his way. However, a few eccentric old ladies take a growing interest in him. Guided by the occasional whispers of his late grandmother, Simeon starts to question the rigid approach to elderly care that is expected of him. His journey, along with these remarkable women, leads them to the one place where they can always be free: their imagination.
